------- Additional comments from vm...@openoffice.org Mon Mar 2 15:50:42 +0000 2009 ------- Dear Regina, thank you for the tip with the encoding indeed öäüßµ are not part of 'UTF-8' changing the encoding to : <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?> Worked fine for my file, BUT it did show a bug....., I did not invent the header of the XML file myself. I edited an empty openoffice Calc sheet, typed in Stückliste in the first cell and saved it as excel 2003 xml. And to my astonishment I cant read the file back to OO. It seems that OO encodes an XMl when reading but doesn't when writing the xml I will attach 2 files to reproduce this behavior. However thank you so far.
