I import a MS Word 2003 DOC with tables, which are numbered like X-Y, X denoting
the chapter number and Y the number of the table within the chapter.

During import, Writer changes the table numbering with the result that Y is
unique throughout the document. The same happens with figures.

Example:
Original DOC

1. Chapter 1
Table 1-1
Table 1-2
Table 1-3
2. Chapter 2
Table 2-1
Table 2-2
Table 2-3
3. Chapter 3
Table 3-1
Table 3-2
Table 3-3

After Import:

1. Chapter 1
Table 1-1
Table 1-2
Table 1-3
2. Chapter 2
Table 2-4
Table 2-5
Table 2-6
3. Chapter 3
Table 3-7
Table 3-8
Table 3-9
