User hdu changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|NEW |STARTED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from h...@openoffice.org Thu Mar 19 16:21:13 +0000 2009 ------- "symbol aliasing" from U+00xx->U+F0xx is not implemented yet on Mac. This "feature" from pre- unicode (8bit single-byte encoding) times is usually not considered to be a good idea. A symbol has a specified codepoint and the right thing to do is to use exactly that codepoint if one wants that symbol. Relying on the legacy mapping from the 8bit-masked codepoint into the PUA should not be encouraged. So the remaining issues here are the WYSIWIG aspect and the cross-platform document compatibility aspect. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
