I checked with "Ooo 3.0.1 (DE) Multilingual version GERMAN UI WIN XP: [OOO300m15
(Build 9379)]" and can confirm the reported crash.
Steps to reproduce:
1. open new WRITER document
2. Change to WIN explorer and select a folder with at least 2 .png images
3. click 1 .png in WIN EXPLORER
5. <cntrl>+<c>
6. change to WRITER document
7. <cntrl>+<v>
expected: image should be inserted
actual: as expected
8. redo from 3. but select 2 or more .png images
expected: image should be inserted (as it works in DRAW)
actual: crash
