The file also works in other programs (tested with wordpad from XP SP3 and Word 2007). However if I open it in Writer the cells are no longer merged. Same happens if I open a file created by some other program (phpRTF and Word 2007 used for this test). I've only seen this on 3.0.0 Swedish for Windows XP but I would assume it's there on all platforms.
