User es changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution| |WONTFIX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from e...@openoffice.org Mon Apr 6 14:09:13 +0000 2009 ------- As I said, we have already too many automatism in that area. English is NOT the only language layout in which you can type reserved words but you have type words in a *Latin* encoding (one can write formula with a Spanish, Dutch, Italian... keyboard layout). So the "auto-switch" remember which Latin layout was last active: too complex. Also it is not obvious if the user wants to write reserved words or add plain text in a non Latin script (Which is possible). Example: you have written 10 formula and want add a description (in Cyrilllic!) inside of each of them. With your solution: - Russian layout in the document - Enter the formula -> the keyboard switches to English - you have to manually switch back to Russian. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
