Start from the left-bottom glue point of the upper circle to the left-top glue point of the bottom circle -> we get a curved connector like expected 4. Re-select the curved connector 5. Start from the right-bottom glue point of the upper circle to the right-top glue point of the bottom circle -> oops, it's a direct connection without a control point! There is the same (miss-)behaviour, if the circles are at the same y-position. Attachment with an example will follow...
