When I close OOo and restart the app, it often displays all text correctly, though it could take two or three restarts sometimes. This issue has persisted since at least OOo 2.x (I have no experience with 1.x). I'm presently running OOo 3.0.1 on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine, and used OOo 2.x with SP2 in the past.
