------- Additional comments from snobsc...@openoffice.org Wed Apr 22 03:20:43 +0000 2009 ------- On some PPT files, Impress 3.0.0 (and 3.1RC1) renders some text in the wrong color. In particular, I have a PPT file, created by MS PowerPoint (version available on request), which has text that PP renders, correctly and as created, in a medium-dark gray. OOo displays it as black, causing it to disappear against the black background. This has been reproduced by two other people, so reproducing it should be as easy as opening the to-be-attached PPT in Impress >= 3.0.0 and observing the apparent lack of text below the "The Flintstones" - you can change the color of the black background or move/delete it to verify that there really is text present. Also, I'm going to attach JPEGs that were exported from this PPT using each of PowerPoint and OOo, showing the correct and incorrect rendering. Saving the file in OOo as a PPT "locks in" the color to black such that PowerPoint then renders the text as black, too. Finally - I guessed this as a P4 due to the apparent narrowness of the issue, but do add that it can lead to a good deal of confusion when you receive a file missing much of the content, but in a non-obvious way. Enough said. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
