I installed the English US version of OOo 3.0.1 and added the Portuguese speller and Thesaurus extension, and also updated the French dictionary and the other things (English dictionary?) that needed to be updated. But I installed V2 on mom's laptop and later updated it to V3 when it came out in Portuguese. Mom has Windows Vista and the Portuguese version of OpenOffice. I don't know how to help more in this issue.
