User jeongkyu changed the following:

                  What |Old value |New value

2005 -------
I checked sdf file and found this issue applies to all greek letters.

RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 1 0 ko ìí
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 2 0 ko ìí
...
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 47 0 ko ìëê
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 48 0 ko ìëê

As you can see from above translation, there is no distinction between capital
and small letter in Korean. Because of this, users are not able to put small
greek letter unless translation is changed. FYI, Chinese version uses English
letter without translation. And Japanese version uses Katakana for small letter
and capital English for capital letter.

RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 1 zh-CN alpha
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 2 zh-CN ALPHA
...
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 1 ja ãããã
RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES 2 ja ALPHA

Another aspect of this issue is about usability. It might not be convinient to
use Korean word in input window to get greek alphabet. But it is better to be
shown in Korean in catalog (or symbols) dialog. This could be acheived by
speration of UI string and input string of greek alphabet ( and other symbols).
I filed another issue for this
(http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=47071 ).

I am going to change summary to clarify that this issue is for my first point
(from '%OMEGA and %omega doens not work in Korean version of ooo math').

jeongkyu -> QA,
I wonder if we can change priority of this issue into higher one. I belive it is
critial for users not to be able to input small greek letter in _ooo math_.
