Hebrew text causes display problem when resuming English in the same paragraph.

I am using OpenOffice.org 3.10m11 (build 9399); Mac OS X 10.5.6 (MacBook Pro
2.4 Penryn Intel).
In OpenOffice I checked Preferences > Languages Settings > Languages and
checked the box for
Default Languages:
Western: US English (default) (English font is Gentium Book Basic)
CTL: Hebrew (font is Ezra SIL SR)
Box below that selection is checked for CTL.

I begin typing in English, then using the shortcut to International Panel, I
select Hebrew and begin
typing in Hebrew. However, when I switch back to English after a short phrase
of Hebrew, the text
begins to wrap as shown in Illustration 1. Thus, when a new letter is added at
the end of the text, one
letter is dropped to each line after the Hebrew. Saving the document results in
a change, but the
English continues the line beyond the writing margin and page margin. (See
attachment at this address:

I have sent samples to users using Windows operating systems, and they report
that it displays
properly. Thus, it appears to be a Mac specific issue. Also, I have noticed
this problem on all versions of
OpenOffice since 3.0 for Mac OS X.
