For the first I have the answer : in every file opened with the Finder, these files are created. They contains some informations about windows size etc. For the second, I'm waiting a complete explanation (soon), but looks like a bad opening method (like open a binary file with a bad method). >From my side I have not such problems because I simply use command line (often ssh) to move in directories.
