------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 9 12:12:41 -0700 2005 ------- Throughout the Tools -> Options dialogue system there are a number of checkboxes marked 'For the current document only'. One example is setting the language for the current document. This placement of document-specific options in a dialogue box that holds application-wide settings is confusing and counter-intuitive. (I know Microsoft does it, but that's no excuse ;) It also throws up contradictions. Eg, I mark the current document as being in German. Then later on, I want to change the general preference for all documents -- but the options dialogue shows me the setting I marked for this document. What happens if I uncheck the box and change the language? Will I change the global preference? Will the current document also be affected and revert to using the default setting? These sorts of settings should be moved to a dialog box that only affects the current document, eg File -> Properties. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
