Along the way, I've discovered tons of serious performance issues, many of which have been resolved, but some are still outstanding. No one is denying the importance of row limit increase, but not many people seem to realize the scope of work that will be involved to increase the row limit without substantial performance problems. Just to give you an example, right after I increased the row limit to 1048576, setting a page style started to take 70 seconds, saving a small-ish ods document went into an infinite loop, switching active sheet started to take 10 minutes, and on and on. These are the type of the performance problems that I mentioned would happen. What I'm trying to say is, you don't need to try to convince us of the need. We are convinced. It's just that it will take efforts to make it happen without making Calc a totally useless piece of junk.
