I tested on my own build (go-oo) and on official release too (both ooo310-m11) in Mandrivalinux 2008.1 Fontwork is allways slow, specially with gradient. When is fontwork on page, srcolling is not smooth too (when scrollin to place, where fontwork is, OOO + X consume cca 70-85% CPU). For example: Test fontwork Favorite10 in OOO 3.1 and then same fontwork in OOO 2.0-3.0.1.
