Not a bug in OOo. You can never create a complex application with so many
functions without having a conflict with system-keyboard shortcuts.
That shortcut was GTK's unicode input feature (was changed to ctrl+shift+u to
only occupy one shortcut combination, instead of sixteen in earlier versions)
Workarounds:
Reconfigure the shortcut to one that is not already taken by your
Desktop-Environment
Don't use GTK-Inputmethod but plain X11 input by exporting GTK_IM_MODULE=xim /
setting a different global default
Don't use OOo's GTK-integration (will cause OOo not to use GTK-Theme/Colors
though: export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen (for "generic")
