Opening a 74.8 KB ODS file from within OpenOffice (or timing after the splash screen has disappeared if opening from the file manager) takes 10 seconds. It doesn't sound like a long time, but OpenOffice 2.4 could open the same document almost instantly on the same machine and it's noticeable if you have a lot of documents to open/close rather than working on a single one. The problem doesn't affect the same machine running Windows XP SP3, or a virtual machine on the same PC running within the Linux host. Also, the problem is not evident when running at a low resolution (e.g. 1024x768) with generic graphics drivers. I think this is a graphics driver issue, but am concerned that it's a new issue in OOo3 and that the graphics setup is linked so closely to the spreadsheet's calculations.
