Problem: Images in some documents disappear between saves.
Environment: Multi-platform work environment where documents are being edited on
Windows Vista and OS X. Documents are being edited on a local network drive
being served on Windows Server 2003.
Sample Document:
http://www.kenpardue.com/misc/oo/DistributionLineRepair-HotSticks.odt.zip

All client computers are using OpenOffice 3.1.

I cannot find any correlation between the images that go missing, other than
possibly that it seems to be when they are edited on the Vista version of
OpenOffice. It makes no difference whether the document is opened on Windows
Vista first or OS X.

I have linked to one of the documents containing missing images. Note that this
is a 29MB document. Note missing Figures 1-5 (p.12), 1-10 (p.16), 2-2 (p.22),
2-4 (p.24), 5-12 (p.68), 5-13 (p.69).

This has happened to several of the OpenDocument implementations of our 78 title
workbook series. I made a big deal out of converting our files to an open,
vendor-neutral format, and now I'm looking awful bad to my supervisors because
of this and other issues with OpenOffice. Disappearing images do not a
professional, business-class MS Office competitor make.
