If think that there is a possible workaround for the other platforms until we get a proper notification. Usually it is a safe bet that an application that puts something into clipboard also has the focus. So instead of polling for the clipboard state all the time it should be enough to do it once when one of our document windows gets the focus. I can't imagine a lot of cases where this shouldn't work, even without a clipboard change notification.
