------- Additional comments from riccardo_ma...@openoffice.org Sun Jun 14 06:51:52 +0000 2009 ------- Installing OOo has impact on some non OOo apps (eg: notepad) which use the standard file open dialog at the Desktop folder. - create TXT file eg: test.txt on desktop. Contents dont matter - double click to open with standard NOTEPAD.EXE - select File-Open in notepad, browse to desktop if not already there using "desktop" button - hover over "test.txt" until information tooltip appears - cancel (escape key or click cancel button) - again, select File-Open in notepad, browse to desktop again if not there - hover over test.txt => notepad closes with no message. This behaviour has been repeated by multiple individuals with OOo 3.01 and 3.1 on various XP 32 installs, including a fresh fully patched install of XPSP3 and OOo 3.01 or 3.1. Not reproduceable using OOo's apps, wordpad or paint but is repeatable in notepad and an app I develop. Only occurs for files on the desktop. My desktop path is c:\Documents And Settings\Rick\Desktop. Uninstalling OOo removes the crash (no reboot necessary). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
