------- Additional comments from j...@openoffice.org Mon Jun 15 14:32:23 +0000 2009 ------- Steps to reproduce: 1) Insert a text object 2) Enter some text in the object, beginning with one or more space characters 3) Try to select the text object by dragging a "rubber band" around it. Step 3 should select the text object; instead, the object is not selected. The problem affects text objects and text labels on shapes. The problem occurs in both OOo Draw and Impress. A space character at the beginning of any paragraph in the text or label will trigger the problem. This appears to be related to Issue 102126: The affected objects act (in some ways) as if they are very wide. E.g. View > Zoom > Optimal: The view is zoomed out well beyond the page size--something seems to have a size much larger than the page. Also, if you zoom out to about 20% and start the rubber band in the upper left corner of the canvas, it is possible to select the affected objects.
