Following the advice @oiahom above: $ /opt/openoffice.org3/program $ ./unopkg.bin list This told me one of the extensions I had installed was missing a description.text file. Like this: ERROR: Could not read file file:///home/mowgli/.openoffice.org/3/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/XlHGdS_/DeltaXML-OdtCompare-1_1_1.oxt/description.txt so, I created my own file at that location with a few lines of descriptive text and everything worked fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
