The mail merge wizard does not recognize a female address, if the indicator
field is the first (column) in the datasource. It is not possible to select the
first field as indicator.
To reproduce:
- Open Writer with an empty document
- start mail merge wizard
- Step1: use curernt document
- Step2: create Letter
- Step3: Select Adress List "Versuch 1.ods"
disable "document should contain address block"
- Step4: enable "document should contain sal." and insert "personalized sal."
as indicating field name select "Anrede"
as field vale use "Frau"
map at least <Last Name> to Name
- Procced to step 5
- go back to Step 4
-> indicating field "Anrede" is not selected anymore
You may select "Anrede" again and try to create the merged document. The second
document should read "Dear Mrs. Schuss" but does not.
You may test with "Versuch 2" as datasource - this will be ok.
