------- Additional comments from rainma...@openoffice.org Tue Jun 30 08:15:29 +0000 2009 ------- Issue from 2003 is still existing and annoying in OOo 3.1 June 2009! (I tested with Ubuntu 9.04 and with the Windows Version) Can someone in charge please change the category of this issue, since it is not only a minor "ui" problem, but a real performance problem! Please mark this issue to be existing for OOo 3.x (because #15508 marks this issue OOo 1.1) It is extremely annoying: A typical larger presentation (about 30-slides) or text with about 50 drag&dropped 200kB (screen optimized!) jpegs would normally have about 10MB. With the OOo issue the file size would grow to >100MB for a presentation, which extremely slows down the performance (especially load+save). Sure I know the workaround adding pics with "Insert->Picture->From File...", but it is impractical. A typical windows/desktop user is used to drag&drop images form the filemanager or image preview program! (Me too, although I'm a linux/kde user) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
