The page styles are identical in both documents.
The only difference is the page view (side by side) which is not part of the
page style but of the page view and cannot vary inside of a document.
Else, yes, for consistency (which page style with same name to choose?) the
inserted document gets the page style of the document it is inserted in.
Works as designed.
