FYI, I can reproduce this bug following pfadwaechter's instructions exactly
(OOO310m11, OS X 10.5). However, I can reproduce it even without the manual
break (as it regards saving/autosaving).

1. Open a new text document.
2. Hold down 'enter' till you're at the bottom of the page.
3. Save the document.
4. Type asdf at the bottom of the page so you have something new to save.
5. Scroll to the top of the page, and hit cmd/ctrl + S.
6. You should be jumped back to the cursor.

Isn't this a milder form, but essentially the same thing as what you're
describing, pfadwaechter?
