Cyrillic (Russian) text is rendered correctly only using "CY" fonts, such as
"Times CY", "Geneva CY", etc.

When I use other fonts, such as TimesNewRoman or Arial, the same Russian text
is visible and correct, but
is rendered in a strange different font, with large unneeded spaces between
characters.

This happened also in OOo 3.0.
