I could be wrong I've only been using it a few days. Some programs show you recent documents when right-clicking on them, or hovering over them in the Start menu. OOo doesn't do this. However, that would still require an extra step, so I too would like to see "Recent Documents" (or "Open Recent") in the QuickStart menu.
