In response to some of your comments: 1) Ctrl-Shift-R did not work as a solution. 2) To my knowledge, there are no links to other documents or the web in these documents, if by links you mean embedded text that is pulled from elsewhere than the original document. 3) I'm a little hesitant to upload the original file because it comes from a private database (Nexis), and I'm not sure if they'd be happy about it. If you don't think this will be a problem, let me know and I'll attach it. I can tell you that it is a problem with all such documents of a certain length. These ones are generally 500-1200 pages long. 4) I've been playing around with it today trying to figure out what causes it to happen, as it doesn't happen every time I open the document and scroll down. It seems from what I've done so far that having the second document open appears to be causal, as I haven't been able to make the error happen in the few tries I've given to it alone; however, this is only after a few trials.
