Could you conduct an online discussion place like BBS, IRC, ML or something else? I agree with the point that we should take care this problem much more for later versions, but it doesn't make sense that you express your opinion and I comment on it here. (BTW, I disagree with all your ideas in term of compatibility.) I doubt we can reach an agreement soon because there are many things we have to take into account.
