Using the built-in HSQLDB engine requires Java. Or using a JDBC driver requires Java. Also, Accessibility support requires Java. The Web/Letter/Agenda/Fax wizards require Java. Some part of the help backend implementation require Java. Parts of the production registration is implemented in Java. Parts of the mail merge functionality require Java. A lot of extensions meanwhile require Java. Besides all this, which invalidates the premise, implementing an own Java VM (and this is how I understand this suggestion) is neither feasible nor necessary. Nor would it make sense if OOo came with its own internal Java VM which cannot be used by other applications on the same machine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
