Steps to reproduce:
1. create new writer document
2. enter a UNC path, e.g. \\test\asdkfj
3. let writer format the path as a hyperlink (i.e. enter a trailing blank)
4. save

Expected:
save happens quickly, as the document is tiny

Actual:
save takes a long time, seems to hang, cpu is idle, system acts sluggishly in
some respects

Additional comments:
This issue seems to be particularly problematic under Windows XP. Under Vista
it is less pronounced.
Also, the more links you have to slower it gets.
