------- Additional comments from s...@openoffice.org Sat Sep 12 13:42:09 +0000 2009 ------- This issue still occurs in OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 for Mac OS X (10.5.7) and Windows 7. The following steps were used to produce the behavior on either platform: OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 Build OOO3120m19 (Build: 9420) 1.) Launch Open Office Impress 2.) Select the option to create a new blank presentation 3.) Input some text into slide (helps in referencing zoom level) -Simplest way I found was to select “Title Slide” from Layout panel and type some text into the slide. 4.) Find the zoom options icon from the tool bar (Icon with Magnifying glass) and click on the downward arrow to the right of the zoom options icon. -Should see the Zoom In button (Magnifying glass with +) 5.) Click on the Zoom In button and observe -The zoom level shouldn’t have increased 6.)Click on the Zoom Out button (Magnifying glass with -) and observe -The zoom level automatically changes without any further interaction As stated in previous posts, the Zoom In function does work once the option is selected and the user clicks on slide. This interface does seem a bit odd considering that all other zoom options (Zoom Out, Zoom 100%, Zoom Page, etc…) seem to work once the desired zoom button is selected. Making the Zoom In option function once it’s initially selected would make it more consistent with the other zoom options. Based on the behavior of the other zoom options (at least through this specific UI component) it’s possible the user would expect the Zoom In button to function without specifying a location on the slide. NOTE: Based on the variable zoom option (found in View->Zoom..), it appears that the application already has functionality to “Zoom In” without having to select on a specific location on the slide. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
