Try this: open the attached example with any 3.x version and insert a new line wherever there's a column with numeric values (e.g. line 15), try and insert a numeric value in the new space created in column J. Note if you have to make frequent insertions or changes the slow down is unacceptable. Try the same thing in any 2.4.x version and... surprise: no slow-down.
