If one was to develop a concept map, the connectors would distribute around this glue-points, flooding some of them, and leaving others intact. That is where the enhancement comes to play. I hereby propose that the connectors are given a third 'connecting' option, where they will target the exact center of the shape to connect and draw the arrow (or end symbol) at the surface of the shape's contour.
