------- Additional comments from dsw...@openoffice.org Sun Oct 4 02:48:22 +0000 2009 ------- Found on: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Ooo dev 3.2.0 DEV300m56 (build:9419) OpenOffice is exhibiting odd highlighting/selection issues in tables. When selecting cells by clicking and dragging over a table, the blue hue highlight also affects all cells to the right of what the user actually selected. When using the cell split function, the cells the user actually selected will split correctly, while the cells to the right of the selection will also split, but result in inaccessible cells where one cannot enter data. Steps to replicate: 1. Create new empty presentation 2. Insert any large table, say 4x4 3. Select any group of cells that are not in the far right column by clicking and dragging over the table. Notice that in addition to the cells you select, all cells to the right of your selection are also highlighted. 4. Click Split Cells on the Table toolbar 5. Click OK with default settings. All highlighted cells will be split horizontally into two cells, both the ones you selected and all the cells to the right of them. 6. The cells you selected split properly and you can input data into them as normal. The cells to the right of your selection also split, but the new cells created by the split are inaccessible: arrow key cursor navigation 'skips' over them and you cannot click into them with the mouse pointer. This leaves the table with useless cells. I beleive the key to this bug is that the table automatically highlights all cells to the right of a selection, whether the user wants to or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
