When I drag a spreadsheet range into the beamer, the only reactive part is the tables section of some database. I drop my range and then I have to enter the table name and choose option "Append Data". I believe that Base could be a little bit more attractive if you could collect data a little bit easier. 2 things I could think of: Drag and drop on a table should start the import wizard with the right table name and append option. The same should be possible with writable queries. A query starting with the right order of fields could help to import data in two steps.
