@ gummibj - Well, I am pretty sure from your description that Step 1 is the
route of most of your problems.

That said, the issue tracking system is not the place to handle general user
support questions, which IMO is the case here.

Please avail yourself of the support avenues in place.

So, regarding this issue. I just went ahead and created a Calc file w/OO.o 3.1.1
under Ubuntu - Created a Base file that connected to this Calc file - then
created a 2nd Calc file and linked data ranges from the Base file. They are
links, change the data in Calc file 1, refresh ranges and the new data is in
Calc file 2....so I am setting this as WORKSFORME.
