This behavior happened on the current OO version 3.1.1 on Ubuntu Linux 9.10
(Ooo310m19 build: 9420 in openoffice.org-core1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 )

I will attach a presentation document to show the behavior. This document
contains:

* a single impress slide
* with one graphics object in it (a big curved bracket) that
  has straight and curved parts
* when you open the document and go to presentation mode (full screen view)
  then the curved parts of the graphics object look ugly :(
  (i.e. they are sub-optimally rendered)

The same impress document is displayed beautifully well with OO3.1.1 under
WinXP.
