There is a part of development guide that describes working with DCOM:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/ProUNO/Bridge/DCOM

The most interesting part is the following:
"To make DCOM work, apply proper security settings for client and server. This
can be done by setting the appropriate registry entries or programmatically by
calling functions of the security API within the programs. The office does not
deal with the security, hence the security settings can only be determined by
the registry settings which are not completely set by the office's setup. The
AppID key under which the security settings are recorded is not set. This poses
no problem because the dcomcnfg.exe configuration tools sets it automatically."

Thus the current behavior is the designed one, OOo does not write the AppID
entries explicitly. If it should be changed, it would be a feature change.

mav->jl: Sending to you for now. DCOM-bridge is your implementation, so it is
your decision whether the feature should be changed or not.
