------- Additional comments from i...@openoffice.org Wed Nov 11 10:43:22 +0000 2009 ------- Microsoft has problems with patches for libraries, that are redistributed with MS Merge modules. This is important for the msvc runtime libraries, that are included into OpenOffice.org. After integration of the merge module, OpenOffice.org or any other application, that includes these libraries, is responsible for the patch process and MS cannot influence this. Therefore MS no longer delivers msm files, but redistributable executables. So we are forced to remove the integration of the merge modules (that was introduced for OOo 3.0) and instead have to use the several versions of vcredist.exe, that can be installed with a CustomAction. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
