MathType's trial version works after end of trial period with limited
functionality. But installation of MathType trial doesn't help on Linux because
it can't use OLE. Installation of its fonts into systems also doesn't help,
though they are visible for OOo
Nevertheless, many OLE objects from other applications are displayed properly
under Linux in OOo. I only would like that objects to be displayed properly,
since it's needed for my scientific work
