I was also unable to replicate this bug.
The scenario on which I made the attempt was
* Windows XP (5.1 SP3 build 2600)
* Asus EeePC 1000H
* Video Card Intel 945 Onboard
* OpenOffice OOO320m2 (Build:9432)
I did some follow-up testing regarding this issue. I varied my work among these
configurations:
* Create bigger tables, up until 10x10
* Use the mouse to select:
* Entire column
* Partial column
* Multiple columns
* Use the keyboard ( shift + arrow keys ) to make the same selections
* Use vertical split
* Use horizontal split
* Splitting into more than two cells (up until four)
* Group cells of different columns and select the other cells on the same
column, to force the selection of multiple columns even when trying to select
just one
I also tried to vary the files that were used by:
* creating a new .odp presentation
* opening an existing .odp presentation
* opening an existing .ppt presentation
I don't know if this can be related to some custom pointing device driver been
used, or if some configuration on the OS related to pointing devices was made.
If more information could be provided regarding this configurations perhaps
would be useful.
