That was the case when we had a long start of javaldx binary (replaced by a script), this could lead the user to have multiple instance of soffice.bin running at the same time. But as javaldx is now a small script to give the java libraries, I think that today that's not the case. We still have this problem today on OpenSolaris with SO9 without having a script which deleted temporary files (as this was happening on Mac OS X with the daily cron jobs). We still need a 9.2 release (or 9.1.1 with the last patches we received one month ago, ask Dirk or Dieter) of StarOffice which generate log files when the problem is happening.
