------- Additional comments from williammang...@openoffice.org Mon Dec 7 13:06:02 +0000 2009 ------- I am sorry to bother you with this problem. I have used Open Office for years on Windows xp and Vista. In writer, the Text Object bar has always been displayed when starting a new document. Now it is gone and has to be started manually from the view-toolbars section at every work session. This started in version 3.0. I checked all my settings and referred to the help section I uninstalled and reinstalled it. (no help) I upgraded to 3.1.1 (no help) I do not know how I turned off the feature, and I don't know how turn it back on but it is a hassle having to manually turn it on every time I want to start a new project. I don't have this problem in Calc. Could you please tell me how I accidently turned it off and how to make it permanent again? Thank you for your time and concideration.
