Close the doc and open it with m7, make a change and store it. Reopen it with OpenOffice 2.2. All the custom DocumentInfo properties are lost (not really, they are in the meta.xml). This means data loss, because the custom properties can not be used with the DocumentInfo service in OpenOffice 2.2 anymore.
