User es changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution| |WONTFIX -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary|Word completion should ign|Word completion should ign |ore stopwords |ore stop words -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from e...@openoffice.org Wed Dec 9 11:54:51 +0000 2009 ------- Not desired because: - "stop words" or common words are not a defined list. Furthermore: in which language? - the meaning of this feature is to help writing long words appearing frequently in the text. "Frequently" is quite the definition of "common words" and some of them are long. - If a user doesn't wish to get "the" replaced with "theoretical" he can press Space and write forth. - (related to the first argument): escaping the word completion based on a specific list of words will confuse users: "sometimes it works, sometimes not". --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
