DEV300m67 unxmacxi.pro now warns during configure that "platform doesn't have a 
libgcc_s.so.1, 
enabling --with-system-stdlibs, use --without-system-stdlibs to override".  
That the platform does not 
have a libgcc_s.so.1 is trivially true, as it is called libgcc_s.1.dylib on Mac 
OS X.  Whether or not this 
warning and the resulting --with-system-stdlibs is harmless is unclear to me.  
In any event, I guess this 
whole check should not happen at all on Mac OS X?
