2009 -------
tested with 3.1.1 and 3.2rc1 on win7-64 with 8 GB and 4 GB:
depending on the count of linked pictures and perhaps the resolution of the
pictures after storing a writer file in 1.2 you can see heavy cpu-working.
Memory is growing and growing, but suddenly (after about 5 to 10 seconds) the
heavy use of memory is cut off and you are able going on working.
Big number of linked pictures or two files with many pictures causes crash with
c++ error. In the ressource-monitor of win7 you see standby and free memory. On
a 4 GB computer even the free memory is just about 80 MB. It seems that oo
crashes when the free-memomry goes against 0. On a 8 GB computer the free memory
is much more higher. gerdl 28.12.2009
